// For music professionals

Put your ear
on the panel.

Share A Verse is a judged showcase, not a popularity contest. Judges carry most of the weight in a result — so we vet who scores, publish the rubric they score against, and name the panel when results go live.

One rubric, six criteria

You score against the same published criteria every time. No vibes-only verdicts.

Conflicts get disclosed

If you know an entrant, you say so and you sit that challenge out.

Bounded time commitment

A typical panel is one challenge, a fixed set of verses, inside a set window.

Panels named at results

Assignments stay private while judging is open, so nobody can lobby you.

The scoring rubric

Public, so entrants know exactly what they're being measured on.

  1. 01

    Writing

Concepts, wordplay, structure — does the verse say something?

  2. 02

    Flow & cadence

Pocket, rhythm and control across the beat.

  3. 03

    Delivery

Energy, clarity, conviction in the performance.

  4. 04

    Originality

Voice and perspective that isn't borrowed.

  5. 05

    Beat command

How well the verse uses the instrumental it's on.

  6. 06

    Overall impact

Would you send this to someone else?

Apply to judge

Reviewed by hand. We only approve people with a real track record in the music.

Applying doesn't make you a judge. Every panel is confirmed in writing first.

Rather fund a prize?

Sponsors put up studio time, beats and gear — never entrant money.
